One time in my Lego class, we made cars and buildings. It took a long time to build everything and my brother, Ben, made a special volcano. When we were done making everything, the teacher had a ramp for our cars and then at the bottom of the ramp, we put our buildings. Then we let the cars go and they smashed the buildings and Ben’s volcano. After the volcano got smashed, Ben was upset because he hadn’t known that we were going to smash everything at the end of our session. Ben didn’t want to go to the next class because he thought we were going to keep making and smashing things. The people who thought that time was cyclical would have felt the same way Ben did: defeated and depressed.
