Our Zipline

A few years ago, our grandfather made a zipline at their old house. Then when they moved, they had to leave it.

Last week, our uncle came over to help my brothers and I put the poles for the new zipline in the ground at my grandparents’ new house. Now we have to wait two weeks at least for the concrete to fully harden before we can put up the cable. Our grandpa had the handle for the zipline set up so you could have a seat, a baby swing seat, or just a handle. The zipline at the old house didn’t have a rope to pull the seat back so you had to walk the handle back to the start. On the new one, we are going to have a rope to pull the handle from the end back to the starting point. The old zipline was probably over 100 feet long and the start was on a hill. The new one is probably 30 feet long on flat ground. We also put up a flagpole next to one of the zipline poles.
