The Mouse

Since our cat, Angus, found us, he has been hunting mice at night. The housing development we live in was made on a farm and there is now a bunch of field mice. Every few nights, Angus will bring a dead mouse up into our room, sit there meowing for a little bit, and then eat it. Sometimes a mouse will play dead and Angus will bring it up and put it down to meow and it runs off to hide. Usually we find the mouse running around within a few minutes and get rid of it. But last week we didn’t know the cat lost another mouse and it was in our room for a few days. We found it starved to death under a shelf after tearing our room apart to find out what the bad smell was.
