Nitro Engines

Ever since I made my tank last year, I haven’t been able to make it drive correctly.

With the old Lego Power Functions XL motors from 2009, some motors are slower than others so it tends to go to one side a little bit when driving straight. To get it to drive with the Nerf Rival Nemesis turret on the tank, it needs 8 XL motors. But the little battery usually only lasts about 10 to 15 mins driving, if it doesn’t trip the little battery altogether and turn it off. With the Prometheus turret on the tank, it won’t drive at all because of the weight. So for the last few weeks, I’ve been trying to find a way to put a nitro engine in the tank. I’ve already put together the transmission, gearbox, reverser, and two clutches. But every time I fix one issue another one appears. The current issue is the gears themselves keep stripping so I’m going to have to buy metal ones.
