Last week, I got my learner’s permit so I can start practicing to drive.
I’ve been practicing driving our extra truck since it has a bigger wheelbase and less visibility than the Prius, which is what I’ve been driving so far.
I have to finish 30 hours of driver’s ed and 6 hours of in-car training with an instructor, then he’ll give me my driver’s permit (the DMV sent it to him until I complete the course). I’m scheduled to finish everything the day before Thanksgiving, then I’ll have my driver’s permit.
After that, I have to drive for at least 6 months with a parent before I can take the test and get my driver’s license.
