A while ago, my friend came over to practice welding on the Beep. We mainly focused on the smaller rust and cut holes. We also tried doing some patches, but they didn’t really turn out too well.
Since then, I’ve been watching some people on YouTube that my uncle suggested I watch for automotive welding and body working stuff. I’ve learned a few things from them so far, like that we had the voltage on the welder too low for the thickness of the metal and that we have to cut out the sections with the big holes in them and replace it.
I’ve been cleaning up large welds and flattening dents on the front of the truck. I also found a crack in the frame right behind the mount for the front right leaf spring. Fortunately, the crack stopped at a large chunk of steel welded to the frame.
